Biotium Calpastatin(CAST/1550), CF740 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
Calpastatin is an inhibitor of calpain (calcium-activated intracellular cysteine protease). Calpastatin regulates calpain by inhibiting both the proteolytic activity of Calpain and its binding to membranes. Calpastatin exists in two types, tissue type and erythrocyte type, resulting from both alternative splicing and proteolytic processing. Calpastatin co-localizes with human leukocyte antigen-DR (HLA-DR) on activated microglia in the aging brain. Calpain influences the process of spermatogenesis and the events preceding fertilization, such as the acrosome reaction. Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes like CF405S and CF405M are not recommended for detecting low abundance targets, because blue dyes have lower fluorescence and can give higher non-specific background than other dye colors.

Biotium n-Myc (Neuroblastoma Marker)(NMYC-1), 0.2mg/mL
The v-Myc oncogene, initially identified in the MC29 avian retrovirus, causes myelocytomas, carcinomas, sarcomas and lymphomas, and belongs to a family of oncogenes conserved throughout evolution. In humans, the family consists of five genes: c-Myc, N-Myc, R-Myc, L-Myc and B-Myc. Amplification of the N-Myc gene has been found in human neuroblastomas and cell lines. Its amplification correlates well with the stage of neuroblastoma disease. Immunological studies have shown that the human N-Myc gene encodes a nuclear phosphoprotein that exhibits relatively short (30 min) half life in vivo. The prototype member of the family, c-Myc p67, binds DNA in a sequence-specific manner subsequent to dimerization with a second basic region helix-loop-helix leucine zipper motif protein, designated Max. Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue flu

Biotium Progesterone Receptor (Marker of Progestin Dependence)(PGR/2694), CF488A conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
This MAb is specific to progesterone receptor and shows minimal cross-reaction with other members of the family. Progesterone receptor is expressed as two major isoforms, PR-A (81 kDa) and PR-B (116 kDa). Expression of PgR has been suggested to reflect a intact estrogen regulatory machinery and therefore, predict better clinical response to endocrine therapy than estrogen receptor (ER) alone. This MAb is excellent for immunohistochemical staining of formalin-fixed tissues.

Biotium YBX1 / Y-box Binding Protein 1 / YB-1 (Tumor Biomarker)(YBX1/2430), 0.2mg/mL
The specificity of this monoclonal antibody to its intended target was validated by HuProt™ Array, containing more than 19,000 full-length human proteins. Y-box binding protein-1 (YBX1) is the prototypic member of the cold shock protein family that fulfills numerous cellular functions. In the nucleus, YBX1 protein orchestrates transcription of proliferation-related genes, whereas in the cytoplasm it associates with mRNA and directs translation. In human tumor entities, such as breast, lung and prostate cancer, cellular YBX1 expression indicates poor clinical outcome, suggesting that YBX1 is an attractive marker to predict patients' prognosis. Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Biotium Flt3 / CD135(FLT3/2458), 0.2mg/mL
Stem cell tyrosine kinase (STK-1) has been cloned from a CD34 hematopoietic stem cell enriched library and identified as the human homolog of a previously identified gene of Mouse origin designated either Flk-2 or Flt-3. The STK-1 cDNA encodes a protein of 993 amino acids with 85% identity to Flt-3/Flk-2. STK-1 is a member of the type III receptor tyrosine kinase family that includes Kit (steel factor receptor), Fms and PDGF. STK-1 expression in blood and marrow is restricted to CD34 cells, a population greatly enriched for hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells. STK-1 antiserum recognizes two polypeptides in these cells. The Mouse homolog of STK-1, designated Flt-3/Flk-2, is expressed at high levels in hematopoietic cells and also in neural, gonadal, hepatic and placental tissues. It has been suggested that STK-1 and its murine homolog Flt-3/Flk-2 may function as growth factor receptors on hematopoietic stem and/or progenitor cells.Primary antibodies are available purifie

Biotium NKX2.8(NKX28/2547), 1mg/mL
The protein encoded by this gene is a homeobox-containing developmental regulator associated with liver development. The encoded protein binds to the alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) gene promoter and increases the expression of AFP. This gene is overexpressed in some lung cancers and is linked to poor patient survival, possibly due to its resistance to cisplatin. This gene is aberrantly methylated in pancreatic cancer, deleted in squamous cell lung carcinomas, and acts as a tumor suppressor in esophageal cancer. Mutations in this gene may also be a cause of neural tube defects.

Biotium CD73 (Immuno-Oncology Target)(NT5E/2545), CF488A conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
CD73 (also designated ecto-5'-nucleotidase, E5NT, NT, NT5, NTE, eN and eNT) is a glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored adhesion protein that catalyzes the dephosphorylation of extracellular purine and pyrimidine nucleotides to their corresponding bioactive nucleosides. CD73 is a dimer of two identical subunits that depends on GPI to link with the external face of the plasma membrane. Similar to other GPI-anchored proteins, CD73 mediates co-stimulatory signals in T cell activation. CD73 has few structural variants, yet elicits diverse biological function through differential regulation in endothelial cells (EC), subpopulations of B and T cells, germinal center follicular dendritic cells and on thymic medullary reticular fibroblasts. For example, IgG mediated neutralization of CD73 interferes with lymphocyte adhesion to EC, and blocks aggregation of germinal center B cells and follicular dendritic cells. Furthermore, IgG-mediated targeting of lymphocyte CD73, but not of
